Team Notes 

  • The Devils fell short, 5-1, for the seventh consecutive game (6-0-1). New Jersey is now 8-2-2 at home this season.
  • New Jersey finished their season-series 1-1-0 vs. Nashville and are 2-2-0 at home against the Predators since the 2013-14 season. New Jersey is 14-8-3 all-time vs. Nashville.
  • The Devils are 3-4-2 vs. Central Division opponents and are 6-7-2 against the Western Conference in 2016-17.
  • New Jersey was 0-2 on the power play tonight and are 1-14 (7.1%) with the man-advantage over the last five games.

Player Notes

  • Sergey Kalinin scored his first goal of the season, the lone goal for New Jersey, at 14:11 of the third period. It was his first goal in 25 games (Apr. 7 vs. TB).
  • Andy Greene and Damon Severson recorded the assists on Kalinin’s goal. Severson has points in two consecutive games for the fifth time this season. He leads all Devils’ defensemen with 3g-14a-17pts. Severson also led New Jersey in ice-time with 21:19.
  • Cory Schneider made his 24th start of 2016-17 and fell to 9-10-5. He stopped 27 of 32 shots.
  • Kalinin and Taylor Hall paced the Devils with three shots each.
  • Beau Bennett had a season-high four hits tonight.
  • Vernon Fiddler was 6 of 9 (67%) in the faceoff circle.
