Newark, NJ – The New Jersey Devils today signed defenseman Colby Sissons to a three-year, entry-level contract.  The announcement was made by Devils’ Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero.

Sissons, 18, completed his first full WHL season with Swift Current, scoring three goals and 19 assists for 22 points and 26 penalty minutes in 71 games.  He recorded a season/career-high 1g-2a-3pts on March 18 at Regina.  Sissons made his WHL debut on December 12, 2014 and dressed in two games with the Broncos during the 2014-15 season.

The left-shooting blueliner most recently attended the New Jersey Devils Training Camp as an amateur tryout and skated in one NHL preseason game.  On October 1, the 6-2, 190lb. native of Edmonton, Alta. was assigned to the Broncos by New Jersey.  He also played for the Devils at this year’s Prospects Challenge in Buffalo, NY.
