Devils Acquire Kyle Palmieri From Anaheim

The Devils have acquired forward Kyle Palmieri from the Anaheim Ducks for New Jersey’s second-round selection (#41 overall) in the 2015 Entry Draft and New Jersey’s option of Florida or Minnesota’s (acquired by Florida) third-round selection in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. That selection was acquired in the Jaromir Jagr trade, February 26, 2015.

Palmieri, 24, recorded 14g-15a-29pts and 37 PIM in 57 regular season appearances with the Ducks in 2014-15. The 5-11, 195 lb. forward added 1g-3a-4pts and four PIM in 16 playoff contests. In 2013-14, he established career-highs with 14g-17a-31pts, 38 PIM, a +9 mark and 71 games played. A native of Montvale, NJ, Palmieri has career totals of 43g-46a-89pts and 90 PIM in 198 regular season games and 7g-5a-12pts and 22 PIM in 33 Stanley Cup Playoff contests, all with the Ducks. He was Anaheim’s first choice and the 26th overall selection of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
